Jim Spoto

Jim Spoto started playing the clarinet at the age of 8 in upstate New York. After switching to saxophone in 8th grade, he joined his first rock band and played at a church youth dance. The band knew four songs, so they played four sets of the same four songs! He's learned a few more since then.
After high school, Jim attended the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, where he played with the award winning Jazz Ensemble. During this time he played shows with Jerry Lewis, Robert Goulet, and Bobby Vinton, among others.
Since graduation from college, and after numerous dance and show bands, Jim moved to Las Vegas, where he performed with Smokey Robinson, Frankie Valli, Martha Reeves, Little Anthony, The Drifters, Coasters, Platters, Leslie Gore, and numerous other shows.
Jim started his smooth jazz band in 2002, and has performed in all of the major hotels and casinos in Las Vegas. He has also performed in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Canada, and for the Royal Family of Brunei.
In 2003 Jim recorded his first CD, "The Time Has Come". He is currently working on a new CD that will be released soon.
Jim looks forward to sharing his music with you, and meeting you at a performance soon.
